In the summer of 2012 I was inspired by the monogram designs that George Maciunas created for the Fluxus artists to embark on a similar project for mailartists. I began creating mailogram designs for artists involved with Mail Art and Email Art. A square format, like the Fluxus monograms, maybe a hint of the Clarendon typeface that George used for Ray Johnson's logo, white on black lettering reminiscent of some black sheets of political stamps Crackerjack Kid made in the 1980s, and with a perforated border to signify our networking credentials.
This project persisted much longer than I envisaged, and with almost 300 mailograms it has now been discontinued.
