In 1998 the Italian mailartist Vittore Baroni initiated the admirably less zealous Incongruous Meetings project. I found myself moved to create booklets of Dispensations or Exemption Vouchers featuring myriad reasons not to meet - alibis, excuses, rain checks, sabbaticals, etc. In addition, 'Incongruous Rendezvous' became a song documenting my point of view. One of my favourite pieces is the 'Exit One' ticket to celebrate the death of Ray Johnson.
